JUNK.....still on the hunt for it....this old sucker describes all of us JUNKERS to a tee.....and NO it ain't mine but it shore is a sight!.....

I am still a packin it in...so come and get it!

I bout lost my marbles over this sucker Saturday.....after drooling, photographing it like I was from a major magazine...I decided I could not leave it behind...actually I did leave it behind...paid for though. It is all mine! And the darn thing still works!~

And this....brown chippy goodness...a little picker brought them to me, all 8 aged to perfection pieces...$20 bucks, I gladly surrendered the dough on over for them!

Sigh for Signs....as they are my weekness, especially when they are aged to perfection with crispiness!

And back to some more of these, I have the OCD Dish Disease!

Another paid for but left behind treasure....darn little cars...u always find the best crap when u have no way to haul it to the house!

Adorable old clocks....these don't work a lick but it just don't matter....they have the look & that is good enough for me!

Mr Gladdens #'s and did I ever pay the high price for these, but they were so awesomely Gi-normous!

I am still loaded down with a garage full of picks, I will share more with ya'll soon....

This old Burlap chair just added....$68.00... pretty darn cheap!

And these Beamis sacks..... a dealer found these at The Depot .....$7 bucks a piece I must add.....what what??? I could have died, how did I miss these???? She was kind enough to let me purchase 1!!! LOL

A few months back I had to have this turbo mini Cooper....which I truly LOVE.....but as you can see there is no room in the trunk for my JUNK ( and believe me I tried, don't want to mess her up)......so I kept her to play and.....

Discovered this Classic Beauty ......and I had to have!

Can't believe I am sooo in love, she is a classic! And.... I am dreamin of all the JUNK that she will haul!

The booths are all packed with new treasures found.....stayed tuned lots of rusty crusty peely treausres to come!!

Would you just look at this......I had an owners weekend away & when I arrived back to work at The Depot this morning look what I found......is it too darn die for or what???? It came in yesterday & I can not believe it has not been ganked up yet!! ANNNDD it is only $150 bucks.... do you hear me, that is darn cheap! Believe me if I did not already have too much junk crap I would have added it to my stash of junk crap! And the color...perfect Turquoise!

Shades of GREEN JUNK...have ya ever noticed when u find one thing of a particular color there are always like a GA-Zillion more that follow in that same color...aka my booth at The Sleepy Poet , and that green table ....too adorable & I am passing it along super cheap cuz I got it super cheap! Get it before it is gone only $43 buckos! And that chippy green rocker to go w/ it only $17! Yep..... I am a cheap girl! Al these goodies I dropped by at the roosters crow this morning to the booth!

And these Chippy Crusted Peely Scales are a keeper for my kitchen.....at least for a while anyway!

Are these old porcelain numbers not the cutest?? Trying to decide ...To sell or keep for projects???

Now these old lookin' feedsack style dish towels....I read Teresa's blog over at Time Worn Interiors about these "dolls" ( I watch too much of Keeping up w/ the Kardasians, their fav saying!) When I found them I bought all that was available from the surrounding two counties, ha! Aren't they adorable??? I was doing a happy dance all over em'!

This old small leather suitcase was one of my fav ETSY purchases, there is some good Vintage JUNK on their site, best of all I cando it right from the bed! LOL! That sounds lazy, and I am some days!!!!

These adorable metal drawered cases are my newest love! I cant seem to get enough of em'.......this one was described as WONKY???

.....And my 3 FAVORITE Junk finds of the week...a BIG OL THANKS to my friend Shellee at The Silver Lining! The cabinet is absolutely too die for....and is going somewhere in my house!

......Remember that green table from the beginning of post??? Well she went on in this trunk, she (the car) may be a keeper afterall!

~Some new JUNK & a Thank You to Flea Market Style Magazine!~

Okay here we go....This Blogpost is going to be all over the place.....so buckle up, I gotta alot to share!! And yes some cool JUNK is the best part of it! Let's start with a few new booth pics....I LOVE my new HTC 3D EVO camera, it has allowed me to take some great shots, the new Vintage feature works like a charm!!

This old white cabinet sat in my garage for two years??? What was I thinkin???

My Friend Beth's Chippy Peely door made a perfect backdrop for my booth, now just sitting here thinkin, I think it was gone this morning!!! Guess everyone else thought the same and that sucker flew out the door! The Dept of Motor Vehicles sign was a quick sell as well! I loved that sucker, it had rust in all the right places!

And these boots......they are made for walkin', hubbys new Sleepy Poet score! I love these beauties!

And let me introduce you to my new Cooper Turbo Mini.....no more haulin wide big junk loads for me.....I do love her though...and she is fast!

I told u this post was all over the place......look at this gorgeous sucker I ran across while Junking....hold on...it was $370 bucks, had to leave this behind...plus I dont think it would have fit into the Mini! Is it great or what????

Ha! & back to my booth and another find that I loved but it went fast, did I tell u I love old birdcages???

And the best news yet.....First off I was super excited to learn that the Antique Mall I manage and am part of the ownership of was mentioned as one of the top 80 Antique Malls to visit in the US....The Depot at Gibson Mill, if you have not heard of it or shopped here, you gotta get here! We are now over 515 booths, I don't mean crappy booths but Primo Rusty Crusty Chippy Peely Junk booths! Then almost two days later one of my dealers asked me why I did not tell her my blog was mentioned as a creative blog to read in their issue???? What?? Lights flung on at almost 1 am, pg 33, yep there it is! I know most will say it is just a little blurb about me, but I am really thankful and honored to be mentioned! And I have to say this is the best Flea Market Style issue ever. They have went back to the roots of chippy crusty rusty JUNK and I love it! Now after being mentioned I am going to have to do a little bit better of a job keeping my posts current!

Ha! Here we go again, another one of my booth pics crammed right in the middle of no where!

And here is another one of my finds that I LOOOOOVE, still trying to decide what I am going to do with these adorable suckers!

And these little number boxes were a hit, CUTE sold as soon as they hit the booth, well...there might be one left!

Lots going on this week....but...I wanted to share a few of my new finds...Old ticking chaise lounge, its too die for, seriously, one of my favorite finds ever!!!

New JUNK jewels arrived today, will be in the booths this week~!

Old Ironstone was plentiful on the hunt this time, never tired of this old find!

And Jamestown,has been patiently waiting in my garage for months now for its spot in one of my booths...the wait is almost over!

And this old sucker....a dealer at The Depot had no luck selling it...so it was a freebie, the rust is a must!!!

Ok...I have a few minutes to share some YUMMY CHIPPY JUNK Goodies! The weather is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L here in NC and my pool awaits me!! I was up at the crack of dawn (UGH) to get my Junk ready to head to The Sleepy Poet! So here we go, man have I been able to get my paws on some good junk the past few weeks!!!!

HELP....too much on my plate!

Here we go... I have a few pics to share. I have been an awful

blogger, I apologize....I now admit....I have to much on my plate,

burning the candle at both ends, don't know if I am coming or going, when I wake

in the morning I have to think for a minute on what day I am on!! I have still been

collecting tons of good JUNK, I have just ran out of time to post

about it! HELP!! I have quickly found out that being in charge and running the largest

Antique Mall in the South (The Depot) is now my life, & I am just trying to squeeze the rest in! My blogger buddies, hold on I am trying to get better at the balancing! If you have not been out to visit The Depot, you gotta come....over 88,000 sq feet & 470 plus booths!

I have certainly had no time for Yard Sales here lately.... Is it just me or

is good JUNK getting harder to come by???

I have wanted this chippy beauty from a dealer friend FOREVER....and I

finally got it! It is perfect and chippy!

This was my favorite Estate Sale find for the weekend....look at this little sucker. I have never seen another

like it!

All the pie pans still in their slots. I have never seen so many people grabbing

up everything so fast. I swear the buyers must have been tag teaming because I was the 20th person in line and I thought I was going to have to fight for this one piece! 24 minutes later I was putting everything in the car and headed home. The sale started at 7am and at 7:24 all the good stuff was gone! JUNK vultures

I found myself in the middle of! Unbelievable!!!

BOY....am I ever pooped! A day off...really? Is that what it is called?? It was supposed to be...so I headed out early this morning to spend a little moment in my booth at The Sleepy Poet, Re-Stuffin & Re- Fluffin my JUNK! I can't believe I have it packed this tight! It is all in....now if someone will take it all home with em! Back to work at The Depot tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be full o sunshine this weekend....good weather brings lots o shoppers.....Back to my Booth... Here we go!

Rusty for how I feel after trying to move around this new blog template......Chippy for the goods I bring you to see.....Seriously this post is taking forever. (Over an hour now)!! I want the old template back. Not much for change I ain't!! I need some serious blog help. I will be calling on some of you soon! I am a little sad that I have no funny stories to tell like usual , I have just been so pressed with time & work all I have to share is good JUNK pics!!! ~I have Returned to the JUNK!~

I am trying to return back ..... a little at a time....trying to re-discover, re-purpose, re-JUNK myself!! Swamped, buried, coming up for air from my job at The Depot! I have had a zillion customers come through reminding me that I have gotten slack on my blog posts! I forgot my Blog account password, then it took me a day in itself to remember how to manuver around and get all the Christmas pics and music removed! Speaking og MUSIC...New music alert on my blog..... The Avett Brothers... yes they are awesome and from NC! You may have seen them play with Bob Dylan on the Grammys....I won't mention one of their favorite places to shop around Concord.... to those of you who have seen them out and about, we are honored!
OK....to the JUNK... a peek inside my pantry...lots of new Chippy, Crusty, Stained Ironstone and Saltwear...what should a girl do...keep or sell???

My favorite OLD mountain antique shop find.....tattered & worn they are! And for $15 bucks...just had to get em. They fit like an old glove!

I am still into making old re-purposed jewels... my friend Bonnie brought these in stamped up and ready for my shop! I just love their rustic not perfect look! If it looks perfect like it came off the showroom floor.... it is not for me! Me and Hubby used to do these but after doing a few together I figured the marriage was more important!!! Bonnie entered our marriage just at the right time!

Here she is....in all her dirty glory...my next project...hope it does not take me as long to finish her as it did to get back to blogging!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her colors found underneath her old cream paint! She is a work in progress after pics will follow, date of release to be announced...LOL!!

For those of you that did not see this beauty over on my Facebook page (Janna Jordan Baker) here it is...well I got my hands on 4 of these.... 1800 circa Old Rennaissance Revival Chairs... Eastlake... They are fantastically the best! Some have the old horse hair stuffing hanging out all over, those are my fav! One is available now in my booth at The Sleepy Poet, $105.

I promise I am on my way back....OMG is has been too long..so long I forgot my darn password to my Blog account and not to mention the Christmas pics on my Blog!!!! I have been caught up in the hustle and bustle of running The Depot and with the Holidays I lost sight of everything. I have still been Re-Purposing & Re-Living the JUNK!!!! ~North Carolina JUNK...we got it!~

I hit the Junk trail early this morning to make a few deliveries and pay a few visits on my day off.... It did not take me long for the JUNK to start oooozing out of my packed car!! I had intentions of being back home in 3 hours (yeah right)... well that quickly turned into 7 hours of JUNK COLLECTING! I decided to pass on the Big Antique Expo that everyone came to town for, in return I hit the little shops out in the middle of no where land that no one knows about (and I did not know about until today)! Keep in mind I spent a whopping $126 bucks on this load of goodies! The pics are quickies, I am sooo embarrased to pull it all out in the drive, I know the neighbors think I am a nutcase! Not only does she hoard it but now she is taking pics of it all, I can hear them now!!

Those Old Signs... I am in LOVE with them all.... keep or sell??? Tough decision!

This was not a today find .....but is this a great old sign or what??? Yep from the Sleepy Poet. It is still in the garage because it weights a zillion pounds, no dragging this baby out for the pics!! She stands about 5 ft tall!

OMG...loads of old numbers.... the little on man on the side of the road gave them to me for a steal!!

And more #'s and signs... I think I may have to pay him another visit. You know I got 30 mins down the road and wished I had not left a few of them behind, does this happen to you?

~LOOK what Junk Your Missing~

It has been a while I know.... between working and working my booths this is all the new JUNK I have to throw out at ya! I wish I had the spunk to have some cute Fall or Halloween decor but I just can't muster it up this year. A rainy day today so I was off to The Poet to work in my booth.....best thing is that almost everything in my booth was a Depot purchase! For those of you that are close and have not been to The Depot you are missing out on some of the BEST PRIMO JUNK around!!!.... JUNK Gals Get your u hauls, trailers what have you and get here, u are really missing out on the loot and it is priced right!!! Oh yes..that mannequin and chair... Depot find. That gorgeous old mannequin was sitting for over 4 days w/ no takers so I gave in to her!! And the chair I had been looking at for over a month then the two paired up perfectly! Well.... I see I was too darn lazy to turn the $$ tag around before I took the darn picture.....usually by the time I get done working the booth, I am a sweaty tired mess so I am not surprised that I missed the tag! Check out the chippy old buggy base, is it cute or what?? Could these have possibly been scored from the Depot?? You need to come out and visit! Look at the colors on the old Gumball machine...chippy Yellow and Turquoise.. it had no key but who cares, right? With paint like that it was a keeper!

For those of you that are near, you have to get on over and see her pillows. All handmade from old vintage feedsacks, I have never seen any quite like hers.

Right down to her Signature Ella Jane tags, Ms Susan is to perfection with all her details....

~Re-Opening of a Shop & Some Summer Fun!~

Grand Re-Opening of my little spot at The Waxhaw Antique Mart!! I will dig around for the extra time for this little shop right in my home town!! One of the most charming nostaglic places to visit when you are in town!! Ms Betty the owner, a true gem!! When she came a calling that she had a spot for me I could not resist any longer to head on back. For all of you that are local you have to check out the charm this little place has to offer!

For all my regular customers, I am back...... so head on back in for a visit!!

It is still a work in progress but within the next week it should be exploding at the seems with some great JUNK!!

OMG the next project!!! The Yard......this is what has kept me from blogging n a regular basis! We had been a court battle over this house for over 6 LOOONG years, the day we were to pick the Jurors the previous ownwers decided to settle!!! So after 6 years of a yard that has flooded into our foundation and washed half the property away we finally are on the way to fixing her back up!! In the middle of the project we ( really me) decided to have this little project installed...I know the contractors love me!! At some point the pool will be surrounded in stone & beautiful sod grass ( I think I am more excited about pretty grass) to cover the entire front and back of the property!! How redneck does this look?? The Mudd and sand will not keep me from missing the opportunity of a sunny Summer day!! I flip flop it to the edge of the pool to keep the mudd and sand off the toes then hop in. I will post completion pics more than likely to be September!! I have been told that the 2nd worse thing to building a house is having a pool installed..... we have did both and I agree!!!

~Some New GOOD OLD STUFF!~

I can't believe it, I was able to escape and JUNK for a day, well not a whole day because I was to darn tired, but I managed to stay alive for a few good finds! After 8 days that felt like 80, I have never been so glad to see my assistant manager at The Depot return from the beach (yes, I am telling the world that Ms Rachel, over at The Shepherds Fold Designs just turned 21 and took her first trip to the beach w/o her parents!!!). For all of you who have not visited her blog and read her posts... get over there, she is a true old soul inside a young persons body, very wise for her age!!! Anyway ... it was the busiest 8 days ever without her, it always happens that way!

LOVE this chair, its all I can say. I was driving through downtown yapping with my friend Beth, (aka...Ms Olde Tyme Marketplace) on the phone today when I passed it sitting out in front of a little designer shop all by it's lonesome. She said well you gotta go back and ask about it, we always have to go back. And yes I turned the next left right onto a one way street.... going the wrong way, a little overly excited, I have not been out to JUNK in sooo long that one chair about sent me into a fit!! To say the least it was outside because they "normally don't house old furniture" I was told. We'll in less than 5 mins it was loaded up at a super duper deal!! Honsetly I liked it better than any of the top notch stuff inside! Now will I keep it or sell??

I wonder what this old sign went to, any ideas?? Had to have it either way.....

After a few short stops I am pooped!! So much so that I found myself trying to get into the hatch (of the wrong Nissan Murrano) today at Harris Teeter. I just could not believe my keyfob was not working, after many jerks to the latch..... wrong car!!! ....It took me a little too long to realize that it looked like my car but was certainly the wrong one... yep mine was 4 down. Oh yeah, there were people staring and alot of them!!!!! Finally I am back home safe and secure and ready to watch American Pickers with my hubby. I have a few more goodies that have already made there way to the Depot, I will be back soon with a peek at it all. If you are local and have not made it out to The Depot at Gibson Mill you have to get here!! We are seeing droves of travelers near and far every weekend. It is guaranteed to please!!! Finally... a stale booth rejuventated!!! It's about time that I got myself into gear and fixed this booth back. I think incredibly small and boy do I mean small check I received this month put me back into booth mood. I have pretty much took all the littles out, deposoited them to the trash and started over. The gorgeous chippy Turquoise table was a quick little find on Wednesday... right to the booth she went!

~Great Finds at The Depot Part I!!~

Ok, here we go as promised in my last post...... The Depot at Gibson Mill tour...if you haven't made a visit yet, you've gotta get here soon. We are one of the the largest in the state and on the East Coast. We are located at 325 McGill Ave in Concord NC 28025 for all of you GPS'ers!! We are nestled right next to the train tracks. Once you come you are guaranteed to be addicted to this old mill and the contents that fill the isles!! This is where I spend most of my days working away to make sure everything is always running on track, but I do love it!! Over 88,000 sq feet, over 470 booths, you could get lost for days!
Here we go..... I had to post Mr Gladden's sign first off, I can just imagine this rusty piece of goodness as a headboard to a bed or should I say my bed, maybe soon!!

Here's a peek into one of my JUNK booths. As you can well see I still have the love for old chippy Junk running in my blood.

I still have the JUNK jewelry, look at the stamped beauties, a new line I have started carrying by artist Heather Millican, the old Junk tag is is part of my line.

~I Found My Way Back with Some JUNK!~

I am so lost from the blog world that I could hardly find my way back!! I am so out of breathe I can hardly type. Sinse my last post I went from manager of the Depot to being promoted to being over the entire operations. A dream job come true, I know I am truly blessed but I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders. In the midst of typing this post I am worrying if the sales were what they should be for the day, if we had a good traffic flow into the mall, if I am meeting all of our dealers expectations.... My brain never seems to never rest these days...... I have missed posting my weekly blogs and reading about all of the excitement of the next Junk discovery that excites all! I have managed to still continue the hunt of good junk but I hardly ever get it to pictures!! Cross your fingers and toes I think I am on my way back!!! Here are a few of my recent junk treasures!!

Now what do we have here..... is that... say it ain't so..... the Kymora is still riding shotgun in my car (for those of you who read my previous post)!! I have not musterd up myself to return that thing. Do you return underwear??? I think it may have been too long!

I can't believe I am sharing this picture!!!! I promise the inside of the house does not look this way. On a Saturday morning if I open the garage I am embarassed to say that at least one car will slow down thinking it is a yard sale!!! I know ( I hope) most Junkers garages look this way!!! I can't even remember what I have lost in here!!!

Back to the post......I am still loving the #'s. I never seem to change....

I saw this beauty while making a quick pass through the Sleepy Poet to check in on my booth. I have been soo tired lately but this sucker did get me a little excited, if it would have been a million bucks I would have figured a way to get it.... It was one of those things you just had to have. I have been carrying it for a few months now, I ain't tired of it a bit!

~JUNK, Kymora Body Shapers & Speeding Tickets!!~

.....OK, the week was a mess... I can look back and laugh a little about it... now... Tuesday on my way to work me and my BFF (had to call her that, sounds so high school) were yapping on the phone. Of course I am PMS'ing and feeling fat, could not leave that out! We were talking about the Kymora Body Shapers, you have all seen the info commercial....you know the ones make you look 3 sizes smaller, we'll running late I wheeled into the Walgreens, Kymora in hand to the register I go (it just sounds trashy, (Walgreens/Bodyshaper in a sentence) anyway I was going to get it, slip to the bathroom at The Depot and slam that sucker on! Ok, on my way to work from Walgreens, running late thanks to Kymora.... Blue lights.... yep 65 in a 45!!!!! I did not even make him pull out to get me, I just pulled in beside him rolled down the window and handed my license over, big fat ticket, to mad to cry to try to get out of it... he did not cut it not even 1 mph, gave me the entire 65 in a 45, THANK YOU SIR he seemed to enjoy it! ....ok back to Kymora. Te- total mad as the devil I still go to the bathroom to put her own. The info-mercial says slides right on.... it didn't infact once I got it on I thought I was going to have to go and get the owner of The Depot, Gary (OMG) to cut it off me. NEVER in my life have I struggled to get somthing on then scared to death that the darn thing was not coming off. It squashed my tata's together so it looked like one big one in the middle! I was sweating, hot and mad!!!! Now.... Kymora rides in my floorboard until I take her to Walgreens for a $32 refund, I think returning it will be more embarrassing than purchasing it, but I do want my $32 bucks back! I did pay $355 to my attorney so the ticket will go away!! $355 of JUNKIN money lost!!!! So here is what I could salvage from the week to share! I think I will SLOW DOWN and enjoy life a little w/OUT the Kymora!! I love these hanging scales..... mostly because their beauty in Red!! I have never seen another like them! Thanks to my firend Lisa Norris for bringing these cuties into her booth at the Depot!!

This I did score today at The Depot, Christmas shopping already, won't say which family member it will be going to incase they read my blog! Thanks to Ms Susan Gibson... she has one of the best booths inside The Depot, if you are in please give her booth a peek!

Another fabulous Depot find, I heard Debbie yelling the other night that she found somthing for me, here she came around the corner with this cutie! See you all have to get to The Depot!! This was a great purchase from Mr Jim Jerris's booth otherwise know as New York! I think you all can see where my entire paycheck is spent!

Mr Mannequin, compliments of a wonderful dealer friend of mine who just wanted me to have him as a gift!! Thanks Coach! Right now he is just standing there in my bedroom corner looking boring... somthing will come of this man yet!

This huge cage was a fabulous Ebay find!! I just happened to find this and won this sucker on the luck of the draw. Ebay is definitely not in my time schedule!! I saw it, placed a $.12 cent bid forgot about it and won! That almost NEVER happens!

Well a day off = JUNK Day!! I met up with my new found friend Amy over at Nanbrook Farm today. I wanted to take her to one of my favorite places I go to junk. Once I met Amy I knew I had to take her......yes, she was and still probably is in JUNK heaven!! We had a really fun day, not to mention she had me digging under the beds of 18-wheeler trailers for junk that had probably been under there for 20 years! It had to be a sight!! Here is what all I hauled back, I only hope she post picks of her packed trailor of all her new goodies over on her blog soon! And for the record I am still NOT tired of the BIG red #'s just yet!

Everything dingy and crusty .......love!

Yep.... N's, don't know what to associate them with just yet but my friend Amy was finding them left and right for me! We are new friends, hope she doesn't think I am Nanna instead of Janna, LOL!! I will find a place for them I am sure, they are awful cute right there in the chair.....

I have to admit I did not get this from my junk trip today... I was working the other night... or should I say snooping out good pieces in booths right before we closed at The Depot and I came across this cute heavy old tool box, of course in Amy's booth from Nanbrook Farms, I had to have it for my new jewelry box for my dresser... LOVE it! Thanks Amy!

I had to pick up the oar for my hubby, we'll I think I may have taken it out of my friends hand!

I am doing my best to bring the JUNK that pleases all of us Junkers! I decided to start my day off by blogging some cool new found JUNK. I am loving the pieces I have came across at The Depot.... hopefully after you see these goodies you will get on up there for a visit!

Another Dealer friend, Coach, brought me in this beauty for keeps, still in it's original box! My best bud Rachel over at The Shepherd Fold Designs also got a beautiful on as well. A fabulous perk working in an Antique Mall day in day out, the Wonderful Dealers, man they are good to us both!

I wanted to get this post completed before I hit the trail to work at The Depot......if not it will be another week before I realize that I did not get it done. ~I love Little (or BIG) Chippy Rusty Finds!~

Finally a few seconds to share some good old JUNK finds!!! I spend all my days managing at the The Depot at Gibson Mill, if you haven't made your trip there you gotta get there soon. We have just expanded to beyond 88,000 sq feet!! Only a few days here and there to JUNK so here are the goodies! All it I am sure will make it to The Depot booths or my booths at the Sleepy Poet. Lots of old chippy Ironstone was found today...... LOVE... it is my favorite!
We are celebrating our Grand Opening at The Depot Saturday April 3rd, 9-9. There will be lots of fun and goodies to be had. If you are in the area be sure to stop in for the fun. We will have a live Bluegrass band on the porch along with a few givaways! My hubby has made and canned up a few Cinnamon Applesauces, DELICIOUS!! I am hoping or should I say begging to have him make some extra to have there to sale in the booth!

OK... this Chippy Crib ... too die for. I stopped by a little shop in Asheboro today and it was in the store window. I commented to the shop owner that I LOVED it, she said $20 bucks and its yours. I ran to the car to grab the cash, on they way to the car I thought I wonder if I was excited and heard wrong and it was really $120.00.... I would be soooo embarassed for myself if she digs it out of the front window and I heard the price wrong, but I crossed my fingers and toes when she got it out, $20 bucks. I heard right!! I know you should not tell the prices of things but I just had to in this case..... she actually got it off the side of the road at the beach so she was glad for me to have if for the $20. Looks like it would make a perfect piece for the front porch, just add a nice pluffy cushion!

This piece will also be available at The Depot this week.

Bee Smoker...... just thought it was a cutie so it came home with me, available at The Depot $24.95!

The rustiest scale ever..... so much so it did not have a price... just said make an offer... I did and it came home with me!

If you are near or far it is definitely worth a trip, heck many trips! I think I have already spent my entire paycheck there the first week! ~The Depot at Gibson Mill Part II... You gotta see this!!~

Well you just gotts see this.... The Depot at Gibson Mill.... Ms Bettie Ann Morgan is all set up and ready! It is too die for. With less than 40 spots remaining the booths are beginning to take shape! Only $1 a foot, get a spot before they are all gone! Phase III and the Design center are scheduled for March. If you are local stop by and visit today for a tour. We will all be on staff today and tomorrow until 7 pm!! Once we are up and running Feb 1st our hours of operation will be M-Sat 9-9, Sundays 11-6. I heard a little secret floating around the Mill yesterday that we will be having Antique Auctions a few times monthly coming this Spring!! If you don't have your spot this is the place to be. ~NEW Antique Mall...The Depot at Gibson Mill~

The Depot at Gibson Mill..... thats where I have been spending all my time.... I have been away from the blog for a while but I am back with exciting news!! This going to be one of the largest Antique Malls around our area... I am so excited about it that I have quit my job to work here full time!!! The Depot Gibson Mill is set to open it's doors Feb 1st! You can read all bout the Mill and one of it's owners Gary Pigg on Charlotte 360.com. The charm & character this old mill has to offer is spectacular not to mention it's 88,000 possible sq feet is amazing! We will be opening up with around 45,000 and expanding to full capacity by early Spring to include a full scale Design Center!! Spaces are still available for rent at $1.00 a sq foot, yep that's right $1. With no rental contract!! We have dealers renting as far away as New York. We do offer booth design and booth management for dealers that may not be able to make it into the market on a regular basis. This is offered at a very reasonable rate. The Depot will also have onsite storage and workspace available from $1.00-$2.00 a ft to all dealers. Mall Central will be provided to all dealers at no charge so they can log onto their computer to check their sales daily! And of course we have not left out Coffee and Ice Cream... Cabarrus Creamery will have an ice cream shop onsite, just like the good ole days in Concord along with S&D Coffees! Hours of operation will be Monday-Saturday 9-9 and Sunday 11-6! Rental inquires can be answered at 704.787.9351 & 704.280.4278. We are located at 325 McGill Ave in Concord NC, just 10 minutes from the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Finally pics of some new good JUNK!! It has taken me forever to get this post completed!! I hope you all had a fantastic New Year and are now ready to get back to the JUNK????? I have been so out of the loop that I forget to snap pics of it all when I haul it in, so here are a few pics of the new JUNK in the booth! I did manage to grab a few pics out in the garage of a few pieces I have just brought in....Unbelievable....that almost All the Farmtable have sold, I had been guarding this old greeen chippy table in the gargae. It had been in one of the old General stores in Waxhaw NC back years ago. I hated to send it to the booth but you can see it went.... it has been the best workspace ever, I will miss it!! And with a removable top too! Now available at the Sleepy Poet, $425.

This find was my day after Christmas JUNKIN surprise!! Is it the best or what?? It needs a little TLC but it is going to be fabulous soon!

I always will have a soft spot for old frames, window paynes and chippy shutters. The glass panel I had my eye on for 6 months, finally the price was right!! It took long enough to bargain them down on it!!

OMG, the Old Transitor Radio..... was a Friday Yard Sale find!!! Perfect display piece, just the right patina to it, check out it's old Dial. $15 bucks!! I about peed my pants!!!

I ended up trading this out with my friend Rachel yesterday. Too die for chippy!! And the back of it ... Chippy Turquoise, Thanks Rachel!! It will be perfect in the new Venue ...The shops at Gibson Mill in a few weeks!!

This cutie I know is rough... but I could see the potential, can you?? This is another I had been eyeballing for months! My friend Wendy over at Southern Comforts in Concord NC made me a deal that I could not resist. If you are local to the area you have to check them out, Southern Comforts located on Church St in Concord. Once you visit you will be addicted to their cool chippy rusty JUNK!! OMG....NOTICE how close to the door that piece is..... I have the gargae packed tight, I think I may be looking just plain TRASHY up in there!!

I wish you could see the pale green on this old HEAVY Farmbench, another great after Christmas find from my friend Carolyn of Decor and More, another fab shop in Concord!!!

Now ...back to the booth pics... That old desk was a prior Sleepy Poet find months back, It was a stark heavy white! I could see the potential and the old alligator crackling paint underneath...Once I started sanding to my surprise was an old dark turquoise paint shining through. It turned out better than I could have ever imagined!!

I am in love, it turned out Spectacular!!

The old chippy glass panel did makes it's way in to the Poets booth yeaterday as well, perfect piece for hanging! $58.95. *Oops, just checked online sales, it has SOLD*

I do, I do, I do.....LOVE the Thrift store finds!!! I have to tell you my heart is racing with excitement from all of the good goodies I have got my paws into this go round! I know some say NEVER tell where you got your goods or what you paid for it....Heck with that, I am too excited this go round! Everything packed into my cupboard here was a Thrift Store goodie this past week.....Every single last thing!! It can be done....you just gotta be at the right place at the right time. I think everyone around this side of the world must be doing Christmas cleaning and depositing it at every Thrift Store around! There are deals to be had!! Even in this tough economy you can definitely make trash into treasures when the $$ is running low for gift giving! I try to hit a few stops everyday on my way in from work and on Saturdays....me and Scott did hit a few this afternoon on our Sunday stroll to the Poet, and I am glad we made the stops! More goodies to come this week... I have loaded all the pics this evening that my heart can stand!

Todays Thrift Store finds , Old Ironstone little plates... I was surprised there aren't any chips or cracks, just the old crazing which is perfect...and at $.40 cents each you could not have left those sitting on the shelf!

Last but not least.... Thrift store/Vintage Gift giving for Christmas.... I sure hope they like it. My sister-in-law just had a new little girl. They live out of town and me or my hubby have yet to see her. Just did not know what to give....but we found it. Old Bassinet & Vintage Quilt..... Sleepy Poet under $55 bucks for the both. I actually missed the quilt and Scott came up and said he just found a quilt for $25 bucks...my response "Good gosh, why did you not pick it up?" So he took me back to where he thought it was ...20 mins later of searching we found it, little did I know it would be a perfect little girls quilt!!

Well to start off I could just kick myself..... I deleated the Before pic of this little Chimney Cupboard. It has sat in my garage FOREVER, my hubby had moved it to every spot in the garage so I finally decided it was it's time for a makeover. So just imagine UGLY Brown with a Big bunch of fruit painted on the door!!! I really like how it turned out just wish it would not have taken me a year to get to it!!! I have found myself too lazy in trying to get them all grouped together for a pic. Heck, I have not even decorated the Christmas Trees that stand lighted in my home. Nor have I begun Christmas shopping. I sure wish my family LOVED the Junk the way I do... it would make for the easiest shopping ever... no such luck!! Where is the time going so quickly.... can I put the brakes on it??? Ever feel that way?? So without anymore delay here are my new Junk Goodies!!

And this door..... I have been eyeballing this sucker for weeks in my friend Amy's booth at The Sleepy Poet. Finally it is mine to keep! The old blue color is great, the detail is not like any I have ever seen!!!

Just look at the old Gentlemen tag.... Fabulous!!

The cute old chippy dog bed I had for a centerpiece on the old farm table is sold, I have to admit it was one of my favs and I hated to see it leave. Quick replacement turned out to look just as good!

Finally another Tobacco basket.... FOR ME.... I think this may end up over my bed, these things are hard to find and I had regretted selling the 1st one I had.

This little old rusty metal Windmill was the cutest thing ever.... I yanked it right up for the booth.

This Old Chippy Mirror was another rainy Saturday find. I am always a sucker for these. $38.00 *Mirror - SOLD*

Now I was not too sure about this Old Saddle but somthing in it was calling my name... so much that once I left the darn store I had to turn around and go back to get it! Definitely would make a cool display piece!!

This was a find from a few Saturdays back at an Estate Sale.... I have been looking for one of these forever.... and now I have it! It did find it's way to the booth however. $125 *Horse Weathervane- SOLD*

Old HEAVY Cobblers Primitive Bench, was the perfect find for my other booth that has taken on the old Farmhouse feel.

These two old Crackley English Ironstone Pitchers are keepers as well!! The one on the left was a Goodwill $1.99 find, the other I stumbled across in an Antique Mall Saturday.

Loved these Old Quilts.... who wouldn't for $20 bucks each??? I ran across this little Antique shop Saturday out in the middle of no where and walked out the door with these and a ton of other Junk for $50 bucks!!!

Old feedsack backing, I was in love.... this was the thickest quilts ever, definitely keepers. Not a hole one, a quick washing on the gentle cycle and I will be ready to bundle up in both of these suckers!! Perfect for Winter.

~Two Weeks Worth of Chippy Goodness & GREEN GRASS!~

What is second best to Chippy, Rusty, Crusty JUNK, Beautiful Green Winter Rye Grass.....Hubby has been working away.... it still has a little more to come in but I love it!! As I snapped the pic I could hear the deer all down in the wodds behind me... Probably thinking YUMMY SNACK... yep they will be over here at dusk tearing it up! Now I just have to get my Pansies going, of course they love those to, right up on the porch they will come to eat them!!

I am back...... with Two weeks worth of good stuff!! Now that we have finally got our winter Rye grass to come in.... I am thinking I may need to start putting out Christmas Decor now for the fear I will get too wrapped up in the JUNK and forget!! Where does it all fit in?? Anyone else havong these problems??? I hit the trail at 7 am yesterday morning and some awesome finds I did make it back with. I also stopped by a new local shop Nails, Thorns and Blessings.... the amount of chippy goods this place had packed inside and out would make any Junker chomp at the bits. I will be heading back over in a few weeks to take my friend Amy and I will be sure to grab some pics! I promise! I know I have been falling alot behind on the posts! 4:45 (UGH!) a.m. will be here again before I know it and I will be in Hospital work world until Friday at 3:30, not to metion the time change... has me and hubby all messed up, we were sleepy and in the bed last night only to realize it was dark but only 6:45!!!

This old white spool cabinet I had to have, not sure if it is a keeper or if it will find it's way to the booths. It is super heavy and about the size of a large end table!!

I honestly can say no spring chicken am I anymore... the Junk job has went from hobby to 2nd full time job....where is the energy!!

Boy did my heart skip a beat when my eyses stopped on this blue chippy little gem! It also has made it's way to The Sleepy Poet, $38.95. I will ship her if any ouyt there fall in love the way I did!! The little old white childs desk was just too adorable to pass by, it even has an old tin bottom made out of what looks to be an old metal street sign!

I love old Medicine Cabinets.... and boy did my friend have tons of them when I arroved. I also snapped up a lime green one exactly like this beauty below!

This last stack was my freebie stack that I gave to my friend Rachel over the The Shepherds Fold if you have not visited her blog hop on over and check her out. I know when I first started out my blog how inspiring it was and still is for me to receive the kind words of encouragement and followers! As well as a true Junker Rachel has a undying heart and love for God you will see that love the second you read into her blogs. And at her young age of only 20.... boy she makes me feel old... I remember those days!!

~Fall Mountain Snow & some Cute Chippy JUNK!~

Me and my Hubby were off to the NC mountains this past weekend to attend a few local Fall festivals there along with seeking out the beautiful Fall colors...well... it did snow as the forcasters promised. I tripped and fell flat (and I do mean flat) on my face in front of a massive crowd of people inside the Old Mast General Store...(if you have never been you have to click on their name and check out this awesome old functioning general store). Can you say embarassed??? It was one of those falls where you don't stumbled, side step, back step... just fall flat on your face...looked like I was tackled by a ghost. Yep.. hubby was across the isle looking for a food mill and as I was on my way over to get him was when I tripped on an old red wagon slid out into the isle. I had my purse on one arm and the other arm packed full of Country Ham and Dog Treats, so there was no stopping this fall.... It was the hardest fall I have ever taken... I am laughing now but it hurt sooo bad at the moment.. The whole place heard and watched, then picked me up, everyone but my hubby... bless his heart he was absorbed 10 feet away in the kitchen section looking for the darn food mill!!! ... I can't tell u how sore I have been , just off of the heating pad last night... So the snow and the fall made it a little difficult to seek out alot of good JUNK, I did come home with the white Chippy little cupboard, I did find a ton of places that I can not wait to get back to visit!

Adorable little Turquoise Cupboard me and my friend Amy stumbled across on Sunday.... pain and all I did make it out for a bit.... you know I was not going to be sassified with just one JUNK find for the weekend!!!

We also came across this old quilt and chippy white mailbox... I think I am having a thing for old mailboxes for the time being!! The old folding ruler was just an extra cutie I found that I had to have!

I was able to grab a few snow pics from the trip on Saturday after my fall. Boy was it ever cold..... 27degrees, wind blowing 40mph plus... windchill... close to 0!!!

Atop Beech Mountain there used to be an old Wizard of Oz theme park. I remember going here when I was young. It closed years and years ago but its remains still are nestled atop the mountain. This is one of our favorite stops when we go up about 10 or so times a year. The views are amazing and starting next month there is snow and ice about everyday... so you better have a 4 wheel drive to climb 5800 feet straight to the top. It is also the local skiers hang out!

Notice how far you CAN'T see.... this is one of the highest points in NC.

~Last Weekends Junk, Jewels & the New Booth!~

What a Week!!! And I am back with alot of pics this go round....My day job has really sucked all the extra life out of me this week. DRAMA...my definition of my job.... So once I caught my breath me and Hubby went and worked on the second booth at the Sleepy Poet last Sunday and of course ... I Junked all day on Saturday! That is becoming my new way to clear the mind and body from the weekly stress at work. The booth is coming along slowly, I forgot how long it actually takes to fill it up and get it just the way you want it. Once this is done this weekend I will begin to gather up all my extra goodies to expand my shelf unit to a full size booth at The Waxhaw Antique Mart on Nov 1st. Just keep me in your prayers, I need the strength and faith to conquer! So on with the pics! 1st pic.... Just a tease of the new booth at The Poet....

One of last Saturdays finds.... Old Chestnut Cupboard... it was covered in enough dirt that it's beauty was hid. I think it is a true beauty from the past! It has already made it's way to one of my booths as you will see in the pics!

ALL of last Saturdays JUNK Goodies!! The Old Tobacco Basket was a country flea market find...and it was also the hardest thing to part with...it too made it to the booth!

I was shopping in a little Antique Mall last Saturday and purchased and old Farmhouse table with Cubby shelf attached to it, I know... no picture... car to packed to fit her in...and I forgot to snap one in the store....another trip next Saturday on my Birthday to pick her up! Pics coming as soon as I get it home!! Anyway the shop owner asked if I had been to that particular dealers house... heck no I replied ... do I need to?? She said Honey... she has about 6-7 sheds packed full of chippy stuff like this....Well my heart started beating fast, she said that she would call but not to get my hopes up that she usually Junks on Saturdays... but oh yeah she was there. And when I arrived it was exactly what she said...JUNK HEAVEN!!! The little Yellow Chippy Mirrored Cabinet above (click on pic to supersize the beauty) was one of my purchases from her... it was the 1st piece I ran to in the building... she was quick to tell me...It was NOT for sale, it was display only.....well I begged for it the entire time I shopped and finally I left with it....Definitely a new Junk spot to shop on a regular basis!! Isn't it adorable?? It's definitely is not as little as the pic makes it look, more on the line of a small cupboard.

And here is the NEW booth...it is going to take a little time but it is coming along. It is definitely a challange with it being on the corner isle! This booth has taken on more of a Rustic Farmhouse style. I have mingled in some darker pieces. The 7.5ft Farmtable is one of my favorite pieces. I think me and Scott had nightmares of moving this 250lb sucker to the Poet.... it is there and will stay until SOLD!!!

Old Chippy Pale Yellow Dog bed... I found this piece a year or so ago and it finally has a spot....Perfect table centerpice, tons of possibilites!

Well this is all the pics I have for now.... I will add more as I fill it up! It still has a long way to go. If anyone has any ideas for my new space send them over!!! I would love to hear from you!

Well .....I had to do a Tuesday post on this sucker..... It was FREE Tuesday!!! I have eyeballed this sucker for weeks on my way home from the Sleepy Poet. Just sitting there on the front porch of an abandoned house. I even stopped a time or two for a peek, got bit up by bugs each time... but today there was a truck, I about wrecked my car to get off the road to ask... I was pointed in the direction of the people who owned the property.... knocked.... asked and received for FREE!! I was waiting in the drive for hubby tonight... of course he did not get in until late... always works that way... I just prayed the whole way there that someone did not beat me back to it!! We just got back with it. It is missing a door but I think I can make it work. I think an old Cream water bowl and pitcher would look fabulous sitting in the open space below... With or without door is fine with me!!

Beautiful Chippy White Paint.... I am in love all over again!! Yes we looked trashy with it hanging out the rear of my Murrano.... the hatch flapping in the breeze...the darn thing is so tall it just would not fit! But we got it to the house safe and sound.

Well I am off to bed, I have had all the excitement for the night that I can handle... I bet I dream about the darn Beautiful thing!! I did survive the second booth move in....I will have pics of it soon..... I am headed back out of town this weekend to my new junk spot in search of a few treasures to fill it the rest of the way up!! Hugs and Blessings, Janna

~Saturday's Thrifty Chippy Goodness!~

Well I set out early this morning on my search for some good Junk.... I am opening up a second booth inside The Sleepy Poet tomorrow. I am still undecided on the the type of booth I am going to design up for this spot.... but I am thinking maybe more dark colors tied in with a little white. We will see tomorrow I guess....I never know until the last minute. I have not really even decided on the pieces I am going to take..... Boy I am flying by the seat of my pants on this one! Anywho I did cone across a few good treasures on my hunt today. My rear is definitely numb from driving! Odometer reading 232 miles when I pulled back in the drive a little bit ago! However, I did come across a new Antique Mall and it was awesome... packed full of vendors and super cheap prices... that will be another secret spot that I share only with myself!! Good Junk is getting harder and harder to come by, I am finding that straying a little farther from home reaps good STUFF!!

Lots of chippy white on the path today.... the old Farm Table was a great find... not dinner table sized.... so I am thinking a great piece for the Bed or Bath room.... The old little wire mail baskets were one of my favorite finds! Kathy, this table may be one you are looking for!!

The most adorable ever chippy child's rocker..... Normally I don't buy these but this one was too cute to leave behind!!

Awesome big old tool box... Amazing condition, the old saw tucked inside is in perfect condition. Even complete with it's on little removal tool tray!

I hope everyone has had a great Saturday.. the drive today was beautiful... Fall was in the air today for sure!! My Hubby works every Saturday so my Junk trips I usually make alone... but....a good country drive clears the mind! Glad you stopped by to peek at my Saturday Yummy goods!! I am back..... I think I took a much needed rest!!! I am now revived and back on the hunt!! My day job has been hectic the past few weeks so all I have been able to do is sleep when I get in. You know those days, even food for dinner did not even catch my attention!! Just Excedrin Migraine and the Bed, my two favorite companions they have been. I hope this week is better for all of us that work there. I was trying to keep up with reading all my favorite blogs but reading was about all I could get done the past week or so. I am soooo glad to be back with all you Junkers in the blog world!!! I did hit the lonesome trail by myself early Saturday morning... I tracked almost across the state in search of New Junk grounds... and boy did I ever find them, I marked them, circled them, highlighted them on my map! Anything to help me get back to them! I think my old faithful junk place is becoming Junked out with too many followers. I had made three trips over the past two weeks there and left empty handed each time.... Well, I got me some new spots!! Not to mention the most exciting news I almost forgot..... I am opening up a second spot at The Sleepy Poet this coming weekend. So I am going to have to hit the ground and run like a goat all week long to get it all accomplished!!

JUNK ...... and it all fit into my Nissan Murrano SUV, can you believe it???? Some of the littles I purchased on Friday but all the big stuff... yep it was all in the back!!! I did not unload last night when I got in because I was about to drop, boy it was Christmas all over again this morning when I popped the hatch... well at least it was for me...... my honey about fainted!! Yes, I got the lecture AGAIN.... did I pay any attention... heck no!

JUNK is here!!! I have been under the weather this weekend, almost felt like the flu but I think it is just the good old cold! The junk was not as plentiful this Saturday, a few finds but they were some good ones!! Hubby came in Saturday and delt the junk lecture once more to me...... you know the one" You gotta stop, seriously you got to , it has spilt over outside of the garage" then there came those words...."We are beginning to look like White Trash!" my reply, "Beginning too? I thought we already were!" Well... we did haul two loads to the Goodwill, you know the junk you accumulate over time that you never have a place for? So we did get it all back behind closed doors, a little progress..... for now anyway!! I did get alot of big pieces to the booth this weekend. The market has been busy as ever, what a Blessing that is!! New booth pic below of it all blended in together. I grabbed up a few pics of some of the booths and little goodies that caught my eye there today to share with you all. You will soon see why Sue from Junkmarket Style feel in love with this place when she made her visit to Charlotte!

This was another Sleepy Poet find from one of my favorite booths...except I did not even let her get it in there before I yanked it right up off of her cart. Old yellow chippy clock case made into an adorable cabinet!! Would you just die if I told you $30 bucks? I did not have to think twice, LOVE it!!

Saturday Junk find....Loved this old Cupboard the second I laid my eyes on it, I can invision it back to its old Chippy White self one day soon....This is my next makeover project. I hate that someone had already stripped it of its chippy white beauty! Little hints of the old white were left throughout.

Look at the little old cubby holes inside, too die for adorable!! I hope someone else loves them as much as I did when I saw it sitting there on the dirt floor of the old barn.

This was one of my Friday purchases... best thing it required NO work, straight from the dealer to the booth. It is a huge piece, probably my biggest yet, boy I hope it sells!! Too die for yellow chippy paint, I am guessing a sideboard cupboard from the past.

Another great Saturday find.... Old Metal Medical Cabinet, in the best shape I have ever seen. This I had to get for the booth.... and yes it made it in there today.

These are a few littles Junk goodies from Saturdays Sparse hunt!! Well, the old camera case never made it to the booth, it came in the door and on of my best cutomers sent it right to the register!! Adorable little heavy rusty metal stool, was a cutie, it also SOLD by day end!

This little white old Farmhouse Cupboard below is my makeover for the week. Found a few weeks back it was in need of some help....BEFORE...Old dirty drab boring white cabinet, but a beauty in disguise it was....

AFTER.....I hit it with the sander this morning early the lead paint was a flying....and underneath were the old shades of White, Cream, Teal and a Limey Green color... I sealed in the chippys with a litght coat of almost clear stain. I love the new transformation as you can see it made it's way to the booth this morning at The Sleepy Poet, $124.95!!

My friends Karen over at Koolyukiestuff had made up these to die for feedsacks pillows for her booth!! I just had a fit right there in her booth over them! Hop over to her blog and check out her Kool Yukie Stuff!

These little glass rings are the cutest ever, yeat another great Vintage Funky booth at The Sleepy Poet, my friend Krissy over at Kitsch-y-Cool Vintage makes these up. This is one of my favorite little booths and the dealer is just a gem, she is truly one of the sweetest ladies ever! She is the one I nabbed up the adorable clock case cabinet from!! See the chippy green shelf laying there in the pic, I wish you could see it in its entirety...to die for, perfect chippy paint, it is huge, big rusty green hoooks, $95!! Super deal!!

Holding out on the JUNK......... Here is a peek into some of this weeks JUNK finds! We had been planning on hitting Hillsville Va this past Monday for their big antique show.... however the Zoo sounded like alot of fun, besides me and hubby decided to get a little break in.... yeah right.... never works out that way. We did go to the Zoo but..... had to make about a zillion junk stops on the way home! How about I scored 4 more of those chippy yellow screens. And they were just as cheap as the first load I found!! Loved the chippy white metal baby scales... they were on SALE 40% off, had to have them!!

Ok this is me and my hubbys two trash pulls for this past Monday, he is learning the ropes well... he whipped the truck right around when he saw the pile, not sure what we will do with them, but there is some great Turquoise paint under the white door along with some pretty cool old hinges.

My friend Karen over at Kool Yukie Stuff made me this fabulous JUNK GIRL sign on that great old chippy beadboard!! If you gotta have one click on the link above she will be glad to make you one and ship it out to ya!

Ok.... had to have this door, we were on our way to the Zoo Monday and my heart just stopped when I saw it leaning on the old barn next to the road, I immediatelty had a fit to TURN Around... knocked on the door and asked could I have it and the old lady said to load it up! Only thing when we got to my friends shop it was determined that she has termites... still not giving up on it, just too beautiful, it is going to be treated and she will be good as new!! LOVE!

My goodness this has been a weekend and we are only half the way through!!! I think I would have lost myself today if I blinked for a split second....let's see, I lost the keys before I got out the door this morning, lost an entire new book of checks..... still not found...then the last stop of the day McDonalds for some fries, my friend Amys little one was in the back seat, you know the age where they are always playing jokes, well she said , " Ms Janna I am going to throw up" I said yeah right, she was acting just normal as could be, guess what she was for real... not one but two times!!! We got it all up, she had just got a little to hot out in the JUNK with us, all I had was a little zip lock bag in the car for the emergency bag for the rest of the trip... always some excitement... and YES I learned my lesson ... I will heed to those words if EVER spoken again...HINT HINT Amy ... you thought she was not for real too....but all in all we had a great day... I finally had a buddie with me, heck I could drive in the HOV lane on the interstate (lane if more than two peps are in the car, supposed to be faster) I was so excited to be in the lane that we almost mixed the exit!! Not a thing to do to it but put it in in the booth... and that is where it landed Saturday night right before closing! I knew it was coming...~UPDATE BEAUTIFUL Chippy Dresser, SOLD, it is being picked up and loaded up tomorrow, It was a beauty while it was there, but I know the home it is ging to and it will be loved!!
